Van Dam Trucking specializes in enclosed transportation
of fine cars and motorcycles throughout the United States.
We are a family-owned auto transport and motorcycle
shipping company, specializing in transporting fine automobiles and motorcycles in an enclosed 6-car transporter.
Van Dam Trucking is owned and operated by John van Dam,
based in Fargo, ND, and is licensed for the 48 continental United States. John has driven all over Western Europe
and the USA since 1974, and has been an independent carrier since April 1993. Van Dam Trucking is considered an
"irregular-route carrier" that will do door-to-door pick-up and delivery, as long as the truck can get
there (refer to "Door to Door").

Auto transport and motorcyle shipping is our specialty.
We transport cars and ship motorcycles all over North America. Shipping cars and motorcycles is what we do best!
We will make every effort to provide "door to door"
auto transport and motorcycle shipping service. The equipment we use is approximately 75' long and 14' high, and
requires a fair amount of room to get around.
Please be aware that sometimes, due to county or city
zoning restrictions or physical barriers such as narrow streets, low hanging tree branches or low bridges, it may
be necessary for you to meet the truck at the nearest accessible parking area (shopping center, supermarket, etc.).
Please keep these things in mind when you give directions to the driver.
In dealing with us, you can expect straighforward answers
to your questions. No excuses or sugarcoated stories here!
You will know up front, what our schedule and rates
are and what the estimated transit time will be. Your vehicle will be treated with the utmost respect and care.
We love cars and bikes ourselves and understand perfectly that many people devote a lot of money and effort to
their vehicles. We want to treat your vehicle in the same manner as you would do yourself.
The price we quote you for auto transport or motorcycle
shipping is for the vehicle only. If you ship parts with your car, the parts have to be inside the vehicle, otherwise
there will be an additional charge. Motorcycles can be shipped with one small box of parts at no extra charge.
If you want to ship a car that cannot move on its own, we will have an additional charge for winching the car onto
the truck.
Payment is due upon delivery by way of cash, money order
or certified check. We do not accept personal checks. We expect to be set up for payment by credit card in the
near future.
Options
Since we are a small company, we can only be at one
place at a time. If you like our rate, but not our schedule, we can try to arrange transportation of your vehicle
with one of a small group of other reputable small carriers that we work with on a regular basis.
It is always helpful to have as much advance notice
as possible regarding when your vehicle is ready for pick up. When you permit us to use a different carrier for
your auto transport or motorcycle shipping, that carrier is required to report their progress to us on a daily
basis, so we can keep you informed about the ETA of your vehicle.
